I knew I was in for a treat from the moment I was greeted by the chalk outline in front of their door. The Buzz likes to have fun, but in a sophisticated, yet not stuffy way. Their cafe manages to create a very cozy and inviting atmosphere through their use of artwork, seating arrangements, and location. Tucked away off the main road, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The service at The Buzz followed this theme. Greeted warmly from the front door, there was pleasant and warm small talk throughout our interaction. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable, as was evident by their ability to make a pretty damn good latte if I do say so myself.
Both the milk and the foam provided a fantastically rich and velvety feel to the drink. The ratio of milk to foam was perfect. There was nothing not to like about this combination. The espresso, while delicate, was not so subtle that it faded to the background. It held its own, providing a slight hint of sweetness to the beverage, while simultaneously letting you know that it is an integral part of the drink’s construction. Overall, a very well done job by The Buzz. Next time I’m on the Island, I will be back!
You know what’s next, rankings.
P.S. When you’re at The Buzz, be sure to try their carrot cake. It was the best I’ve had in a long time.
