Driftaway Coffee-Home

Located in New York, Driftaway Coffee has been in the coffee subscription business (although their coffee is also available without one as well) for close to a decade now. I was first introduced to their coffee about six or seven months ago, and I’ve completely fallen in love with them. With that in mind, prepare for a rather gushing review. You’ve been warned.

The particular variety I am reviewing is their Honduras Siguatepeque Prone and although the beans had gotten a little stale (my own fault), that will not count against them. Now, for starters, this cup of coffee, brewed via french press, was incredibly smooth. It made for an ideal start to my morning. They do refer to this particular variety as “bold” on their packaging, but I’d argue that it’s at least slightly more mellow than that. It’s at least not nearly as harsh as some others I’ve tried. The dark chocolate notes really shine through in this blend, something that adds a sense of richness to the coffee without having to add anything to it.

Like I say, this is one of my all-time favourite coffees, and I look forward to getting more from them in the future. I highly recommend you check them out. Their website, Instagram, and Facebook page are all great places to find out more. Until next time!

Overall: 4.5/5
