Well friends, just like that 2019 is almost in the books. Although I just started this blog in August, I’ve been to a lot of great coffee shops and experienced some awesome coffee. To wrap up the year, I thought it would be fun to take a look back and talk more about three of my favourite shops that I visited and what made them so memorable. So, without further ado, let’s dive in.
3) Moguls
Located in Whistler Village, Moguls stuck out in my mind for several reasons. First of all, location, location, location. Such a stunning and picturesque view from their patio! Of course their coffee was also a sticking point. Great foam, delicate balance between milk and espresso achieved. What’s not to love? A fantastic independent shop located in a tourist mecca, Moguls very much deserves a spot in my top three.
2) Cafe Amarti
You know I had to include a spot from my hometown, and Amarti was a well deserving candidate. I LOVE going here (and I’m definitely not biased at all). You can pick any reason as to why. Great coffee (including a rotating tap of guest roasters), friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and just an all around great place to be. I can’t recommend this shop enough whenever you’re in the Valley.
1) Shed
What’s this? A restaurant takes top spot on a list of my favourite COFFEE shops? The second ever place I reviewed on my blog, Shed had some really delicious coffee! I go on about the espresso they use in my original post and for good reason- it made the latte. Plus, it’s located in Tofino, a beautiful, laid-back town on the Western side of Vancouver Island. It’s definitely worth the drive, even if just to visit Shed.
Anyway, there you are folks, 2019 in a nutshell. I want to take a moment to thank you for reading and for all of the support. It’s encouraging to see and it helps spur me on to create more content for you all. Now, I’m off on holidays for a bit, but I’ll be back again in early January (stay tuned to my social medias for exact dates). I hope you all had a great 2019, a fantastic holiday season, and a great start to 2020.
