Rampage Coffee has only been around for a few short years, but they’ve already carved out a good size chunk of the market and have quickly made a name for themselves. Within a period of under two years, husband and wife team, Dustin and Lauren have taken their coffee operation from small and based in their garage, to a full scale (very) popular roaster. Based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Rampage offers several different roasts in their arsenal to choose from, including their three staple blends.

The first is RIOT, their medium roast offering. It’s a solid coffee with nothing too out there in terms of tasting notes, just an all around good medium roast. My personal favourite from Rampage is their CODE BLK dark roast coffee. This one was more rich and in-depth than their medium roast. Plus I tend to skew towards the darker side of medium when it comes too personal preference. Perhaps the most intriguing of Rampage’s three staples is the C-4 Smooth Extreme Caffeine Blend. Not going to lie, when I first saw the packaging, I was a little scared to try it. How extreme was it going to be? Turns out it was surprisingly smooth and incredibly delicious! A cool thing that Rampage coffee does is offer all three of these blends in a sampler bundle (which you can find here) so you can find out for yourself which one you like best!
In addition to these three coffees, Rampage has more recently dived into the world of espresso. They’ve released their first espresso – Ignition – which has proven to be very popular! If you can manage to get your hands on some, I highly recommend you do! While great in any sort of espresso-based beverage, it’s also versatile enough to be used as a french press of pour over as well without being too overwhelming. It’s easy to see just why this blend is so popular.

Rampage Coffee is a coffee company quite unlike what I’ve seen before. There’s much that sets them apart from the rest. For starters, their branding is, shall we say, a tad more aggressive and in your face (but in all the right ways) than your more traditional roaster. In fact, that’s one of the first things that drew me to Rampage the first time I ordered coffee from them. Another thing that they do that I feel some other roasters don’t invest in doesn’t even have to do with coffee, but customer connection. Rampage nails this! Be it through email, Instagram, etc. Rampage loves its customers. I can only imagine how busy it must be to run a successful coffee roaster, much less add on top of that time spent connecting with your customers. Finally, I feel like Rampage comes off as much more accessible to the average coffee drinker. There aren’t a lot of fancy words in their coffees or descriptions. Anyone new to the world of coffee can easily learn and experiment with tasting notes, aroma, and everything else that comes with coffee tasting. It’s refreshing to see a company that’s willing and able to do this.
And if Rampage Coffee sounds familiar, you may have seen them on my blog before! I did a review of their coffee sampler here, and I reviewed their Ignition Espresso here.
Finally, be sure to check out Rampage Coffee on Instagram and on their website.
This is great Matt! Thank you for featuring us on your blog. Very well done.
Mugs up, Cheers!
