Rooftop coffee has been on my list of BC roasters to try for quite a while now. They are definitely worth the wait. One super cool thing that they do is include a card about the coffee that lays out its backstory regarding where the coffee actually comes from. I really thought that was a nice touch on their part. This Costa Rica offering packed quite the citrus punch on the nose. However, this kind of faded with the first sip. The almond notes hit first, followed by chocolate notes that really complimented the almond quite nicely. This all culminated in a crisp, clean finish. Although it doesn’t have any hints of apple in it, I liken the crispness of the finish to taking a bite out of a crunchy apple. Also worth mentioning was the great staying power of this coffee. Overall, it was an easy drinking cup of coffee that I would happily enjoy over and over again- thanks Rooftop!
