This coffee was one of the roasts that came in my October Brew Perfect Box. For more information on that, you can check them out here. This particular singe origin had a lot going on, but it all worked together to create a solid coffee. On the nose, both fruity and chocolate notes were prevalent. In regards to taste, it was very light and fruity. It had a very strong mixed berry taste that mingled with the chocolate notes, creating a very cohesive experience. On the back-end I detected slight hints of citrus (did I mention there was a lot going on in this coffee?) that added another point of interest to the roast. Finally, this coffee had a crisp, clean finish- in part due to those citrus notes- with a solid linger time. Overall, I was quite impressed with this offering. It was a solid first experience with Oughtred, and it definitely won’t be my last.
You can check out Oughtred both on Instagram and on their website.
