A couple weeks back, I was lucky enough to connect with Sam from Lighthouse Coffee on Instagram. We got to chatting about coffee, and he introduced me to this single origin Myanmar roast (which has an incredible backstory, by the way, but more on that later). Not only does this coffee have a great story, it also tastes very good. Let’s dive in.

First off, the aroma on this coffee was very rich and full-bodied. There was also an abundance of fruity notes as well. The fruit notes really pack a punch in the taste as well, really bouncing around the entire mouth. Caramel after-notes follow this, creating a very smooth, almost silky finish. This is disrupted by a subsequent hint of smokiness which creates an engaging and memorable finish. Overall, this was quite a great coffee, and a very solid first experience with a Myanmar roast. I’m looking forward to trying more from Lighthouse Coffee. If you aren’t yet, go give them a follow on Instagram, I’m sure Sam would love to chat!
Overall: 4.25/5
